Guided Drawing – for adults.
Weekend workshop 1st. and 2nd of July 2023. 1pm – 5pm both days.
During the workshop, you will work in a small group. On the one hand, according to the methodology of guided drawing and on the other hand, according to the methods of nature and art therapy, where you work with the healing power of nature through artistic creation. Guided drawing is suitable for working with difficult emotions, trauma or simply to learn more about yourself. Participants draw rhythmically and repeatedly with both hands and with closed eyes to express inner tension and feeling in the body.
The workshop is suitable for anyone who wants to use art and nature to get to know themselves better. You don’t have to have any drawing or artistic skills to participate in the course, just a desire to create and participate.
Led by artist and art therapist Íris Lind Sævarsdóttir.
Limited availability and price is 20000 ISK and registration is necessary: fraedsla(at)listasfnarnesinga.is

24. – 28th. of July 2023
from: 10am – 1pm.
Summer art classes for children age 9-13 with the French/Swedish artist Thomasine Giesecke. Thomasine is an artist and an experienced educational teacher at a museum and has worked at the largest museums in the city of Paris, including the Musee d’Orsay, Le Louvre and the Orangerie museum, and now LÁ Art Museum is working with her and she will bring an art course at the museum this summer. Thomasine focuses on stimulating children’s imagination with a diverse approach to artistic creation, which includes e.g. creating digital works, drawings, photography, graphics, sculpture and painting in various media. Thomasine’s driving force is working with children and adults of all ages and looking at the creative process from the perspective of the individual, and in that process she has observed, among other things, how the possibilities of different materials encourage children to explore, experience and cultivate creativity. We will work with a variety of materials with different approaches.
